WITH 1 BILLION PEOPLE LIVING IN AFRICA.THE GOAL IS TO CAPITALIZE ON AFRICA’S 200 MILLION USES OF WHICH 60 PERCENT IS ALREADY FACEBOOK USERS.

The South African Office will work with countries across Africa .FACEBOOK has 120 million users in Africa ,with 80 percent of those connecting via mobile.
Africa is a mobile first continent with many accessing the internet through cellphone features. Cheaper handsets,data plans and improved internet connections means that Facebook Twitter and other services can reach both the growing number of middle class users as well as remote villagers.
“Mobile is not a trend. It is the fastest development in communication we’ve ever seen. This couldn’t be more true in Africa where so many people are mobile – only,” said Nicola Mendelsohn Vise president for FACEBOOK in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
